1. Blogging: Many companies have taken advantage of blogging, including large corporations such as Dell, General Electric and more. Blogging allows anyone (including businesses) to promote his or her products and services free of charge. Usually, these companies hire a writer to blog about things related to their products and services. The blogs usually consist of about 300-500 words of interesting information related to the company. This helps get people interested in their business. Those who are interested in computers and technology will find blogs related to this type of information and read them regularly.
2. Podcasting: Podcasting is the next generation of blogging. People around the world are already Podcasting. Podcasting began in about the year 2000. According to Wikipedia, “a podcast is a media file that is distributed by subscription (paid or unpaid) over the Internet, using syndication feeds, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. Like radio, it can mean both the content and the method of syndication. The latter may also be termed podcasting. The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster.” Podcasting is increasing in popularity, just as blogging did back when it started. Podcasting is a simple audio file available for download from one’s website.
3. Audio and Video: The use of audio and video can increase your sales dramatically. Although customers searching for products and services online love the convenience, they can be a little wary of new businesses. Using your own voice to record to an MP3 file, your customers can hear your voice from anywhere in the world. They can hear you talk about your products and services and feel a little more at ease buying from you. Better yet, you can create streaming video so your customers can put a face to the name. You can record yourself talking about your products and services and, in a sense, create your very own commercial.
4. Affiliate Marketing: Affiliate marketing has become huge in today’s online business world. Offer your products for affiliates to sell and earn a commission from each sale. This is one of the easiest ways to sell more of your products online. You can visit a website like Clickbank —www.clickbank.com—and list your products on there so other website owners and newsletter owners can list them on their websites for sale. They earn commissions for each sale and you both win!
5. Internet Network Marketing: This is basically an MLM program brought to the Internet for an effective, easy and convenient way to build and grow your business. You can have people sign up and sell the same products that you are. This is similar to affiliate marketing, except that in Internet network marketing, the people who sign up under you start their own business selling the same products and you in turn earn commissions from their sales as well as your own which is the smart way of making money!
