Dream Seed empowers individuals and their organizations
Dream Seed Multimedia was founded on one clear principle: that website design and other media services should be accessible to and empowering for all. It’s as simple as that.
The challenge
Many individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations work hard at fulfilling their missions, and their need for custom, professional, quality websites is no less essential to day-to-day operations than it is for Fortune 500 companies. Unfortunately, the prices of many design firms, which can typically range from $2,000 to $20,000, are unrealistic for small businesses and nonprofits. There is an affordable solution—and it’s not using inflexible, pre-made templates; finding a neighbor who might be able to do it; or struggling to figure it out for yourself.

Our solution
Adam J. Barkafski, the founder of Dream Seed, has been designing websites since 1998. From working repeatedly with nonprofit groups and individuals in small businesses, he saw a true need for quality website design, maintenance, and hosting that would empower these groups to do what they love to do and what they do best…and not spend time and energies trying to understand the technical aspects of programming and maintaining a website. Additionally, with his English degree and years of experience teaching writing, he realized the natural synergies between designing a beautiful website, writing powerful and passionate text, and educating his clients on how to make their websites work hard for them.
Our extra mile
Additionally, Dream Seed Multimedia commits to empowering all persons, regardless of abilities or technological skill. Most websites currently on the internet today are either partly or wholly inaccessible to persons with varying abilities. People can have significant differences in visual, auditory, manual, or cognitive abilities. Knowing that not everyone who visits a website can experience it as the designer may have intended it to be—to see it, to hear it, to understand it, or to navigate through it with a mouse—Dream Seed structures and designs each client’s site to reduce or eliminate barriers that any person could encounter when visiting a website. Ultimately, the benefits of designing for accessibility for as wide a group as possible translates into a better site experience for all…and more customers for you.
Our mission
Bringing together the needs of small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and persons with varying abilities creates Dream Seed Multimedia’s mission of empowerment for all individuals through media.

So what does the name Dream Seed mean?
The quick and simple story behind the Dream Seed name is this: Most of the individuals, nonprofits, and small businesses we work with are just starting out. They have a dream or vision of something great, and they’re often at the stage of just planting the seed of that dream. We want to help as part of the team to help grow that dream into reality. In turn, the seed of our dream was to empower all individuals—business owners, nonprofit organizers, and the everyday internet user—through media, especially the web, and we have seen that become a reality for us.
